Genie, I just finished "The Friday Night Knitting Club". What a wonderful book. Although I have given up knitting due to lack of talent, this book makes me want to be a part of a knitting club such as the one in the story. The women in this story come together, ostensibly to knit, but in truth needing a friend.

This truly diverse mix of characters slowly learn to open up to each other; laughing, crying, and even leaning on each other when times become difficult. The knitting metaphors at the begining of each chapter are , I think, brilliant! A great selection!

Found this book exciting and informative. Giving us a unique look at both sides of the issue, neither side appears right or wrong. As Patterson says in the book, Islamist extremism isn't about being rewarded later, but about the horrible living conditions in the relocation camps, and the pervading lack of hope. Please comment
